Brett Turner
My father and aunt were artists, so I was always exposed to it. I began studying Art at Scottsdale Community College in 1992 and had the good fortune to have David Sklar and Bill Martin as Professors and mentors in Painting and Life Drawing with David, still a good friend, and the same can be said of Bill Martin who’s passion was Photography. They both sell their Fine Art locally and nationally.
In the four and a half years I was there my work was picked to be included in the 1993 “Draw the Line” contest by The Phoenix Art Museum. I didn’t win the juried event but then just getting in was an honor as my competition was made up of professional artists and Art PhDs, which I didn’t know until just before the event. I started painting portraits of my dogs, here and past to allow me to express the wonderful facial expressions that are unique with each pet. I do both digital and traditional portraits of dogs that are friends of Sandra’s and Le Paw Spa. The digitally produced portraits allow me to make available a very affordability, a cherished face with which I can capture the essence of the dogs’ character in the photo you provide, or I will come shoot a great shot for you. Any one interested the digital or in traditional Acrylic, Pastel, or Watercolor should contact me at 480-994-3515. Or get an information sheet from Sandra. All work is done on the finest materials, all archival, (they last). I’d venture a bet that you could not select the traditional from the digital side by side, the software is that good.
